On Saturday, Kristi and her sisters threw the boys a book shower. We were going to do the shower in December before the boys were born and then I was put on bed rest. This worked out better anyway because everyone could see the boys! They got a lot of great books - several of which I remembered reading as a kid. One of my favorite childhood past times is reading books before I went to bed each night. I always wanted just ONE more book. I can't wait until the boys enjoy it too...
So I was thinking of a title for this post and "Book-It" came to mind. Remember Book-It? The buttons where you got a sticker for each book you read and after your button was full you got a FREE personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut!?
What a great idea for a shower! I recognize a lot of those books in the crib. And yes..I do remember Book-it! I think it may have been the only time in my life I actually read the books..go figure, food was involved! Max is totally at the "one more book" stage. He has also started to figure out which books are long and which are short...seems like for his "one more book" it's always a long one!
