Bikin'

The boys love their bikes and thanks to the fact that they practiced in the house all winter long, they're really pretty good at it. The wood floors and trim have the tire marks to show for all of the practice, but who cares about that!?


We brought our bikes back to Decorah last weekend and went for a bike ride along the river trail. The boys loved it.


I guess getting rid of the training wheels is the next step...I wonder when they'll be ready for that?!

A fun school carnival with our neighbor friends.

On Saturday we watched Cara and Cory run in the Get Lucky St. Patty's Day run. The weather was perfect!! 

The finish line happened to be right near here: our first apartment we had in Minneapolis back in 2002. It.was.tiny!!

We had some hungry birds in our yard this weekend so we put up some feeders. We only spilled some.

We also added all of the 'flare' back to the swing set. I would have guessed we'd be doing this in May and not March...

The boys are able to do bike rides now this year - it's so much fun!

It seems strange to see shorts and t-shirts but brown grass. 80 degrees in March is unheard of! (Literally, according to the experts!)

These happen to be new outfits that the boys insisted on wearing ALL weekend!

Dinosaur Sighting

Pretending is something that the boys do more than anything these days and I absolutely love it.

Thanks again to Grandma Julie for making the boys these adorable dino tails. They make pretending to be dinosaurs even more fun. The boys are always "nice" dinosaurs but sometimes they are plant eating dinosaurs and sometimes they are meat eating dinosaurs. Either way there is a lot of stomping and roar-ing!

And this...this is my new best friend Gus! Gus just got himself a new bark collar. It's the kind that sprays citronella and makes a noise only dogs can hear (and don't like) when he barks. It works like a charm and so far, it's one of my best purchases in a long time. 

New Wheels

Guess what?! I actually got my camera out this weekend. The gorgeous spring weather inspired me.  It is an understatement to say that some serious outdoor play time was long overdue.


The boys got these SWEET jeeps from Grandpa Don and GG for their birthday last month. It was so fun to get them out this weekend!! As you can see - the boys love them. Thanks again!

While it appears as though he's looking to see if there's anything behind him when he backs up, there is a complete disregard for windows, decking, etc. The boys call them "monster jams" - so I guess they're meant to run into things.

Insta-Weekend 2.5.12 (Birthday Weekend!)

Here are some of the random pictures from the birthday weekend. We were SO lucky with weather and health this year and ALL of our family made the long trip. 


It's been a month since their party and the boys still talk about wanting their cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents to come back. The truly loved every second of it.
