We recently spent a week up north in the Brainerd Lakes area. Gull Lake.
This was a trip that we had planned months ago. After everything that happened the timing was good in the sense that was nice to be able to get away. Sad in the sense that it felt like something was missing...
Despite some sad moments, we had a complete blast. The boys soaked up every ounce of attention that they were given (which was a lot!) and they had so much fun. It's so much fun to see them so happy - and to see them experience cabin living for the first time!
boat rides...smores...games of yatzee...drinks and pizza at zorbaz...the boys' first time fishing...gorgeous sunsets...storms over the lake...mosquitos...cabin life...feet in the sand...ice cream dessert...naps on the boat...no naps...late bedtimes...mini golf...water slides...sand castles...tubing behind the boat...visits from family...no work...no schedule...
